Am deciding on type of sauna to buy, including infrared sauna. At times, I might want moist heat. Am thinking of running a vaporizer to add moisture to heat generated by the infrared sauna. Does anyone know if the moisture would be bad for this type of sauna? Thanks!

It depends. Some manufacturers offer their saunas with humidifiers. These are built to safely withstand the increased humidity by sealing the heating panels and element terminal connections. Other, less expensive units may not. The same is true for "traditional" saunas.
If this is important, make sure you discuss this with your sales rep before you buy. Download and read the service manual for the sauna you want to buy to make sure they don’t advise you against this.
